With over two decades of experience in strategic investment, specializing in Innovation and e-Commerce technology development, Michael So offers a vast wealth of knowledge and expertise in his roles.

He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management and Business Administration from Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Additionally, he holds a Graduate Certificate in Technology Management from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Graduate Certificate in IPO and Private Equity from the HSBC Business School of Peking University.

Throughout his illustrious career, Michael has occupied executive positions in various international and large-scale enterprises, as well as listed companies. His roles have included the Executive Director of a main board listed company, INED of two Gem Listcos, and COO of a US-based OTT company. Moreover, he founded two companies associated with Hong Kong Listco, both specializing in e-Commerce and e-learning solutions. These companies have flourished under his management for the past 9 years.

In 2021, Michael shifted his focus towards studying and innovating with Web3 technology. This includes platforms such as Virtual World Metaverses, Virtual Idol Avatars, NFTs, and blockchain technology. He achieved the designation of "Certified Metaverse Expert" and successfully completed 7 metaverse projects with MNCs, property developers, and government agencies during his tenure as the Chief Consultant at WPP Group, Mirum Hong Kong in 2022.

Since December 2021, Michael has been serving as a Special Advisor to the Associate Vice President in the domain of academic affairs and public relations at Lingnan University. His responsibilities encompass providing insights into digital marketing, alumni affairs, and strategies for fundraising and management.

In 2023, Michael was appointed as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Lingnan University Graduate School, and he began teaching in their Master of Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management program in September. Additionally, he earned the title of Certified AI Expert from the Blockchain Council in August.
